Viking Chat
As part of Vice Principal Ms. Vann’s initiative, Viking Chat brings students together for open conversations with guest speakers who inspire and encourage positive decision-making.
Recently, Ms. Béty Lê Shackelford, founder and executive director of Hella Good Deeds & Lori Pham, met with 15 Asian female students & Ms. Le to discuss their experiences moving to Kansas City. The students shared stories filled with both laughter and thoughtful reflection, leaving the session with new tools and confidence to support their future success..

From powerful student performances and thought-provoking discussions to inspiring artwork and interactive sessions, our schools have been honoring Dr. King’s legacy in meaningful ways.

As we celebrate his life and achievements, we also recognize the responsibility to keep moving forward---building on his vision to create a future of equity, justice, and opportunity for all.

Together, we’re not just remembering history—we’re shaping it.
