Our first new KCPS construction in 30 years marches on, as we celebrated our Topping Off Ceremony for the planned new King Empowerment Center, which will include a new King Elementary, an early childhood center, and a family resource center!

From powerful student performances and thought-provoking discussions to inspiring artwork and interactive sessions, our schools have been honoring Dr. King’s legacy in meaningful ways.

As we celebrate his life and achievements, we also recognize the responsibility to keep moving forward---building on his vision to create a future of equity, justice, and opportunity for all.
